Favorite Thing About GCC:
My favorite thing about GCC is the community. From the first time I attended, I could see the love and light of Christ shining through the church body. It is clear that the community has a heart for God, and this is evidenced by an inviting and warm atmosphere. I love that the GCC community works together to take care of each other and build each other up.
My Family:
My parents, Brian and Jamie Schulz, live in Grinnell and attend GCC. I have one brother, Matthew, who lives with his wife Aleigha, and daughters, Magnolia and Marley in North Carolina where he is stationed with the Marine Corps. Most of my extended family lives in Western Colorado, where I grew up.
My Hobbies:
I love to bake and decorate cakes—this is a passion that has been passed down for four generations. I also enjoy spending time writing, reading, and playing instruments.
Favorite Part of Ministry:
My favorite part of ministry is having the opportunity to share Christ and walk alongside others as they learn more about Him and grow closer to Him. Every interaction is an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others and meet them where they are. It brings me so much joy to see the ways in which Christ moves in the lives of those around me.
Life Verse:
Romans 12:9-12: “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
